In this series I attempted to continue my retro theme while focussing on less editing. I tried to use the content of the photo to capture the mood I was portraying, and through this process I have developed an even better and well thought out theme: 90's childhood. I have tried to capture objects that I feel represent my experience growing up in the 90's. I ended up using contrasting, exposure, and highlights to edit, but I have found other ways to create an older feel to the pictures through the content and mood.  In the next series I hope to combine the editing techniques and content choices from both series in order to best fit my new 90's childhood theme.

  1. I really like how in this series you captured subjects that are more personal to your childhood. I think you do a great job experimenting with contrast, exposure, and highlights to bring out the retro theme.

  2. I think your last photo is the most successful because the subject takes up the entire space, which allows the viewer to make a better connection to your theme.

  3. I like these photos a lot because they do bring feelings of nostalgia but without to much tampering and editing. You captured a simple emotion and "older" feeling well.
